As we all face this current public health crisis, our clients are in desperate need of WNCAP’s services. Over the last month, requests for case management services, and for emergency financial assistance for housing and medical costs, have almost doubled our usual monthly average.
We have also seen a 19% increase in enrollments for our food distribution program, which is intended for homebound individuals facing food insecurity.
There is a significant increase in the number of people accessing harm reduction and syringe services, which WNCAP is still providing from the parking lots of our Asheville and Franklin offices.
WNCAP is not asking for direct contributions from restaurants during Dine IN For Life. Instead, we are inviting our community to support local restaurants that have given so much to WNCAP and other local causes over the years.
